It’s December, so Christmas is officially a-coming! Whilst I still have a LOT of Christmas/Hanukkah shopping to do (thank goodness for Amazon Prime hey), when it comes to festive recipes I seem to be pretty organised this year. I can’t wait to share them all with you! Continue reading

Six ingredient oatmeal raisin cinnamon cookies

I love making my own almond milk – it’s ridiculously cheap, so tasty, super easy and gives me the peace of mind that I know exactly what has gone in to the milk I’m pouring into my morning porridge or afternoon matcha latte. I used to feel a bit wasteful though throwing away all that almond pulp that gets left in the strainer, so I started thinking about what I could use it for. Continue reading
Six ingredient berry crumble

I’ve always loved a good crumble – it’s such a delicious thing to eat all year round, not to mention how simple it is to make! Traditional crumbles are a tad on the unhealthy side – loaded with flour, sugar and butter (yuk, yuk and double yuk) but luckily it’s just as easy to make one just as yummy without any gluten, dairy or refined sugar. Continue reading
Roast parsnip soup
Parsnips are definitely up there when it comes to my favourite winter vegetables. Often overlooked, or disregarded as some kind of melanin-challenged carrot, they are super versatile, really filling and a great source of vitamins and minerals. Continue reading
Super simple pesto pasta with sun-dried tomatoes and broccoli

As winter approaches, it’s so important to listen to our bodies and make sure we are giving them what they need in order to best combat the chilliest of all seasons and, fingers crossed, survive the winter minefield that is colds and flu. I know that when it gets colder, my body needs warmer foods, and lots of energy. Which is such a great excuse to make and eat the yummiest, most nourishing and comforting meals, as that kind of food is exactly what your body needs! Continue reading
Maca-teasers bites

Maca is amazing. It’s rich in vitamins B, C and E, as well as heaps of minerals, it boosts libido, relieves menstrual issues, increases energy levels, clears your skin, helps your mood, and that’s just the short of it.
You might think that for something to be so good for you it must taste gross, right? Now while we wouldn’t advocate chowing down on spoonfuls of maca powder, it has a lovely malted flavour when added into recipes. Continue reading
Spiced beetroot and butternut soup, and some autumn gratitude

Practising gratitude is something I’ve been trying to do more of recently; with every thankful thought and positive affirmation I can feel my mood lifting and my serotonin skyrocketing. When the rains set in in September, I found myself mourning the summer that had passed and dreading the winter to come. But then I thought to myself, I bet I wouldn’t appreciate summer half as much if I didn’t spend nine months of the year looking forward to it. And also, autumn (despite its unpredictability) can indeed be absolutely breathtaking too. Continue reading
Chocolate orange pumpkins

No tricks here, just delicious Halloween treats! We wanted to come up with a healthy, guilt-free treat that is easy to make (for big people and little people too!) and these chocolate orange pumpkin bites proved to be just the ticket! Continue reading
Supercharged cacao love bites

These little squares of heaven took a while to perfect, minutes to scoff, and bloody ages to name. You’ll understand when you try them (which, by the way, you must) – they’re like a cross between a truffle and an energy ball, with all the best bits of both. They’re so rich and delicious that you only need a little square to satisfy your chocolate cravings, but they’re packed with all sorts of good things too – cacao nibs and cacao powder are packed with antioxidants, maca is a great energy booster (and also great for fertility) and almond butter is a fantastic source of good fats and protein.
