Chocolate milk is just the ultimate indulgence isn’t it? For me, it also comes with a hint of happy nostalgia – it takes me right back to being little and finding it hilarious to blow bubbles in it with my straw. I still find it pretty funny (and I’m sure my mum would still tell me off if she caught me doing it!).
This chocolate milk is pretty much everything you could want in a drink – it’s super creamy, perfectly sweet and so delicious. What’s more, it only contains four ingredients and is so simple to make it’ll be ready before you can say ‘Nesquik’.
What’s more, because this recipe uses pears instead of bananas to add some thickness and enhance the sweetness, it’s a pretty low GI drink so it won’t cause any nasty spikes in your blood sugar.
Ingredients
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1/2 a pear, frozen
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
This is so easy to make – simply put the ingredients in a blender and whizz until they’re all combined. Pour into a glass, and relax. Perfection!
