Fruit and nut dark chocolate chunks

Need a quick and easy recipe to seriously impress your chocoholic friends/family/other half with? Well you’re in the right place! This amazing fruit and nut raw chocolate won’t take you more than 10 minutes to knock up, but you’ll look like you’ve been secretly training as a chocolatier.

We won’t waste your time telling you how incredible this chocolate is, or how much better it is than anything you could buy in the supermarket. We won’t even both telling you how much healthier it is than commercial chocolate, as it contains no dairy, refined sugar or preservatives. Nor will we bore you with how great it is that it only contains seven ingredients. Nope, we’ll just let you find out for yourselves – now grab your ingredients, fire up your hob and get cracking – you can thank us later.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cacao butter
  • 5 tbsp maple syrup
  • 5 tbsp cacao powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp raisins
  • 2 tbsp cashews, chopped
  • 2 tbsp hazelnuts, chopped

Melt the cacao butter in a bain-marie (or in a bowl placed in a saucepan about an inch full of water), then add in the maple syrup, cacao powder and salt and stir until all nicely mixed together. Remove from the heat and stir in the nuts and raisins, then pour into a mould or a lined baking tray and pop in the fridge. Once it has set (which doesn’t take too long but can feel like forever when you’re waiting for your chocolate fix) break the slab into chunks or just eat the whole thing in one go, we won’t judge you. Store in the fridge if there’s any left.

Love, Mrs H xx
