I’m always all for a celebration, which is why I’m so excited for all the Springtime festivities in store in the next few weeks.
However with family time comes food in our families (and lots of it), but sadly the traditional delicacies of my Jewish origins don’t sit quite so well with my passion for healthy eating. So I’ve been busy in my test kitchen whipping up some recipes for you lovely people which have all the taste but none of the nasties.
I’ve always loved Passover cinnamon balls, but every recipe I found was full of sugar and none were vegan-friendly either. My delicious recipe (and boy is it good) has just four ingredients and is super easy to make. Here’s what you need;
- 2 cups ground almonds
- 2 ripe bananas
- 2 tbsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
Smush up the banana and then add in the other ingredients, mixing thoroughly. Form into little balls (it should make around 10) and put on a baking tray brushed with coconut oil. Bake at 180 degrees for around 15 minutes until golden brown on top, and enjoy!
Chag Sameach!
