
Smoothies are something I’ve loved for years and years, and especially in more recent times I find myself making them more and more as way of having something quick, easy and tasty with loads of fruit, veggies, fibre, healthy fats and basically all the good stuff. I’ve started adding in protein powder too as I’m quite conscious that I need to pack in protein wherever I can, and this is such a good way to do it.
This smoothie is great all year round, but I love the colour as it makes me think of all things Halloween. If you wanted to make it look even more festive why not melt some chocolate and drip it on the inside of the glass before you pour it in!
Makes 1
Ingredients
- 1 banana
- big handful of spinach
- flesh of half an avocado
- plant milk of choice
- 1 tbsp nut butter
- protein powder (optional)
Add the ingredients to a blender and whizz until smooth. Pour into a glass and top with cacao nibs if you like! Serve immediately.
