We’re all such busy bees, it seems. We rush around, trying to give 110% to our jobs, our friends, our families. Now if you were hoping I’d tell you that I’ve discovered how to stop time I’m sadly going to have to disappoint you, but I may have just found the next best thing.
How many of you guys have wanted to impress your loved ones with a tasty and indulgent dessert but when faced with the actual (and rather time consuming task) haven’t managed to deliver? I know it’s the thought that counts but sometimes it’s just nice to have your cake and eat it too.
So what if I told you that you could have your cake and eat it in five minutes from start to finish, including cooking time? The lovely people at Panasonic sent me their new combo microwave oven, and it’s honestly been rather life changing when it comes to speedy baking! There’s loads of other recipes to give you some idea of what you can make in this fab gadget over on http://www.theideaskitchen.co.uk – I’m absolutely loving baking in it as it’s just so speedy!
You just need seven ingredients for these, a spare 5 minutes and you’re in business. They take two minutes to cook, like actual 120 seconds, and probably even less seconds to eat. They’re so gooey, melty, chocolatey, rich and just generally amazing – I can’t wait for you to try them too!
- 1/2 cup cacao powder
- 1/3 cup ground almonds
- 5 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
Place the coconut oil in a microwaveable bowl and microwave for 60 seconds to melt it. Add the the cacao powder, grounds almonds and baking powder to a mixing bowl and stir together well, before adding in the coconut oil and the rest of the wet ingredients. Mix well until you have a smooth cake mixture.
Spoon the mixture into two ramekins or small mugs and microwave on high for two minutes. Grab a spoon and enjoy!
Love, Mrs H xx
