I’m a hummus addict. I always have some in the fridge and I tend to dollop a huge spoonful of it onto pretty much every meal I’m having, breakfast sometimes included. A girls gotta get her plant based protein in right?
As well as being the perfect finishing touch to my dinners, it also makes a damn good snack. Carrots eaten raw without hummus are, to me, a tragedy. I also love it with corn cakes and can’t get enough of it with falafel but I’m getting carried away because that’s not what we’re here to talk about.
You get it, I love hummus. But I also love chocolate. And wouldn’t a sweet chocolate hummus dip be the perfect thing to smother on medjool dates, spoon onto strawberries or slather on my banana bread? Well yes. Yes it is. This stuff literally tastes like raw chocolate brownie mixture. It’s insane, and only six ingredients.
Join the sweet hummus revolution and make it today, you will not be disappointed!
Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas, drained
- 1/3 cup cacao powder
- 4 medjool dates
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 tbsp tahini
- Pinch of Himalayan salt
Simply blend the ingredients in a high speed blender or food processor until it reaches a smooth consistency. Spoon into an airtight container and store in the fridge for upto 3 days.
