I love peanut butter cups and I LOVE smoothie bowls. Quite often if, after the kids have had dinner and I haven’t mustered up the energy to cook something for Mr H and I, I’ll just make us a smoothie bowl and load it up with all the toppings. This smoothie bowl however is one I’d reserve for dessert or a little treat as it’s super duper indulgent and devilishly delicious.
This one is such an easy one to make as the melted chocolate just freezes on top, so you can make it super quickly and devour it almost instantly! It’s super creamy too and so much fun to tap tap into the chocolate layer on top!
Makes one delicious bowl
Ingredients
- 2 frozen bananas (place these in the freezer overnight, I like to keep a stash in there for last minute smoothie bowls)
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- Chocolate, for topping
Place the bananas, almond milk and peanut butter in a blender (I use a high speed one but if yours isn’t super powerful then chop the bananas before you freeze them) and whizz until they form a smooth mixture.
Melt your chocolate in a bowl over a saucepan with two inches of water on a low heat. Pour the smoothie into a bowl, and spoon the chocolate on top to form a shell. Pop any extra peanut butter and cacao nibs on top then grab a spoon and tap tap tap away into the most indulgent and delicious bowl ever!
Love, Mrs H xx
